Secure Research Environment for Digital Health (SREDH) Consortium is a group of academic, healthcare, and digital health individuals and organizations committed to building a secure, scalable, and flexible container-based cloud infrastructure for digital health research.  The founding members of the consortium are the individuals and organizations leading the NHMRC partnership project funded by the Australian Government – “Unifying and quality assuring disparate health silos with a common data model.” The Consortium emerged from this initial project. The goal of the consortium is to provide digital health developers and researchers with container based microservices to securely extract, transform, load, link, store, and analyze the data from heterogeneous data sources. The consortium enables through its platform – SREDH Platform. The SREDH platform provides a secure research environment for developers and dev ops-focused researchers with interoperable solutions for agile development and deployment of cross-platform digital health applications, including the Internet of Things (IoT) platform.  This consortium was inspired by the unmet and new emerging developer needs to comply with Australian and international health privacy and security regulations.
